Preliminary information obtained indicates that the teenager successfully finished her first paper and returned to the dormitory after evening preparations to rest but the evening took a tragic turn when she was suddenly struck by a severe headache.

Her condition deteriorated rapidly, prompting immediate transport to Bwera General Hospital for emergency treatment.

Despite the swift actions of her teachers and medical personnel, Nabasirye was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital, casting a dark cloud over the entire school community.

Friends and classmates described her as a bright and promising student with a hopeful future ahead. “We were all looking forward to finishing our exams together,” said one devastated classmate. “No one expected something like this to happen.”

School authorities and medical professionals said they are investigating the cause of Nabasirye’s sudden illness and death with initial reports suggesting that it may have been a medical emergency triggered by underlying health conditions.

The deceased candidate will be buried tomorrow, Wednesday, October 16, in Bunyaruguru, Rubirizi District in southwestern Uganda.
