A season and a reason of our existence

By Mukonyezi Steven Akiiki

In the years you have lived on earth, have you ever asked yourself what people will remember you for when you are no more? There are some things worth keeping in mind as you continue to live. If you have never identified your value to others, it means that you have not yet impacted on anyone. Being of value goes with people being impacted positively. But you changing someone’s life in the slightest way possible creates a long-life appreciation from the other. Believe me, you can add value to your family, community or even the country at large.

Look through the impact you have made on your family. What have you helped change for the better? Does your family rejoice in your efforts to make them better in the best way possible? Many are times when families have disowned people for disgracing them and they have publicized everything in the media. Some families have even brought their wrangles to the media for either public opinion or sympathy. Let us pick a keen interest in this. Does being disgruntled makeup for publicity? It is very important that you realize how valuable you can be to your family.

As you may very well know families can cause impacts in the communities where they are, it is very paramount to make them stronger so that our communities can be built on strong foundations. Relatedly, governments are made stronger with the population being actively participative in government programs. You have a role to play in having your country take a step to development. An innovation or taking on government programs can be your contribution to the country’s development.

Everywhere you go or live, you should always remember that you are there for a specific season(time) and a reason. You are not there by mistake. There is always need to realize that the time you have been given by God to live should be very impactful such that change can be caused and long-lasting memories created.

It is never about just being in a place for a certain time, but it is always about what you have done for the people there and what has changed for good because of you. Do not ask what your country has done for you, ask yourself what you have done for your country.
