Crested Cranes land in Kinshasa for DR Congo friendlies (PHOTOS)

Kinshasha, (DRC):- The Ugandan women’s national football team, the Crested Cranes, have safely arrived in Kinshasa for two international friendlies against the Democratic Republic of Congo. 

The team touched down at N’Djili International Airport aboard Uganda Airlines on Friday, having departed early that morning from Kampala.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Sheryl Botes, the Crested Cranes are eager to showcase their skills on the international stage. 

Botes has announced a squad of 20 players, carefully selected to represent Uganda in these crucial matches scheduled for October 27th and October 30th, both to be held in Kinshasa.

The training regimen leading up to this trip has been intensive, with the squad focusing on building teamwork and refining their tactical approach.

This series of friendlies serves as an important step for the team as they look to strengthen their performance in anticipation of future tournaments.

Notably, the squad sees some changes, with several players including Shamirah Nalugya, Sandra Nantumbwe, and Hadija Nandago being dropped from the travelling roster. 

This decision reflects Botes’ commitment to finding the best combination of talent and experience for the upcoming matches.
