Kawempe youths receive brand-new motorcycles from ONC’s Namyalo in extended ghetto empowerment drive

Kampala, (UG):- In a significant move towards youth empowerment in Kampala, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, the manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Friday handed over brand new motorcycles to youths from Kawempe Ghetto SACCOs as a fulfilment of the promise she made during last month’s Ghetto Empowerment Drive in Kawempe Division.

The brand new motorbikes, donated by city businesswoman Ms Maria Namusoke Kamoga of Hondha by Markh Investments Ltd, were handed over to the Ghetto Youth leaders at ONC offices in Kyambogo during which Hajjat Namyalo pledged to bolster ONC’s efforts in empowering Ugandan youths.

“This initiative isn’t about fighting anyone, it’s about creating wealth for our fellow Bazzukulu. There are many people left out by existing systems and we can’t wait for the government when we have generous individuals like Ms Maria Namusoke willing to help” Hajjat Namyalo said.

“These motorcycles are for the entire SACCO, not for sale, and they should be used to generate more income and improve your savings as we continue to seek additional support from our Jajja,” she added, commending Ms Namusoke for her generosity.

On her part, Ms Namusoke expressed her commitment to supporting Hajjat Namyalo’s nationwide campaign focused on empowering youth and women. “I have come to give a hand to Hajjat Namyalo in her empowerment drives because she is doing a very impressive job in uplifting lower-income people with capital items to help themselves out of poverty.”

“Whenever you look out for the needy persons and empower them, you’re helping a nation at large, and as Markh Investments we have come out to contribute towards this cause,” Ms Namusoke added.

The Ghetto SACCO leaders who received the bikes commended Hajjat Namyalo for her commitment to uplifting the youths and women, especially in the ghettos and pledged to mobilize millions of votes for President Museveni in 2026 as a show of gratitude for his ongoing support.

Meanwhile, Kyeswa Hakim, head of digital media at ONC used the same event to reassure the youths that President Museveni remains committed to fulfilling his promises. He urged them to avoid being manipulated by opportunistic politicians during the upcoming elections.

The ONC Digital boss further encouraged the youth to take advantage of ONC offices to communicate their needs directly to the President through Hajjat Namyalo who is always ready to listen to their concerns.

Under Hajjat Namyalo’s leadership, ONC has been a driving force in grassroots empowerment and sustainable development through wealth creation tools. Since the campaign began, over one million youths have benefitted from either directly or indirectly with the initiative reaching nearly every corner of the country.

The office has donated empowerment tools including brick laying machines, Hoes, oxen ploughs, sprayers, carpentry tools, charcoal stoves, salon dryers, shaving machines, welding machines, tailoring machines, hand dryers, frying pans, mechanic tools boxes among others.

The donation of motorcycles was received by leaders from various Ghetto SACCOs, including Kawempe North, New Pentagon, Gaza SACCO, and Kawempe South as part of a larger effort by ONC to provide income-generating tools that will boost youth empowerment in the Kawempe Division.
