Museveni to grace Bugema University’s 30th Graduation this week

Luweero, (UG):- President Yoweri Museveni is expected to attend Bugema University’s 30th Graduation as over 1,000 students graduate on Sunday, November 10th at the varsity’s main campus in Luweero district.

The ceremony, DailyExpress understands, will be presided over by Bugema University Chancellor, Pastor Dr Moses Maka, who is also the president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Uganda.

Themed “Destined for Greatness in Excellence,” the 30th congregation of the university will see graduates from various programs ranging from Masters, Bachelor Degrees, Diplomas, and Certificates partake in a cherished tradition at the iconic Arch of Knowledge.

As graduands march through the arch, they will be greeted by faculty and staff, marking their transition from academic life to real-world challenges.

Bugema University, affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church, prides itself on its holistic educational approach, nurturing students’ intellect, character, and spirituality.

Established in 1927 as the Bugema Missionary Training School, the institution began by training pastors and church leaders for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in East Africa.

Over the decades, it has evolved into a modern university, moving to its current location in 1948, and later broadening its curriculum to include secondary education, junior college, and seminary programs.
