“The Presidential Press Unit (PPU) wishes to inform the general public that H.E the President of the Republic of Uganda, Gen. (Rtd). Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will on Thursday 7th November 2024 address the nation on matters of National Importance.

The president’s address, as it is a custom, will be broadcast live on all major radio and television stations, as well as digital platforms starting from 8 pm (EAT).

Political analysts and commentators however argue that Museveni’s address to the nation is to emphasize his message of rationalization which he has recently stressed that, is aimed at cutting unnecessary with standalone government agencies that can work under ministries.

Other bills passed on Wednesday included; the Uganda National Roads Authority Bill and the Uganda Road Fund Bill, both now placed under the Ministry of Works and Transport, the Assets Recovery Trust Bill, the Public Enterprises Reform Bill, and the 4-Tier Microfinance Institutions Bill.
