Trump’s victory ignites excitement in Bukedea over presumed dropping of Among sanctions

Bukedea, (UG):- People from the Eastern Ugandan district of Bukedea are in overwhelming excitement following Donald Trump’s victory as the 47th United States president.

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) (FEC) Chairperson Sean J Cookery (Republican), deputized by Ellen L. Weintraub, a Democrat, Wednesday disclosed that Trump pledged to pardon all those squeezed by Joe Biden administrator trounced Kamala Harris.

The excitement across Bukedea especially from Rt Hon Anita Among the Speaker of Uganda’s Parliament, also the Woman Member of Parliament for Bukedea went like waves in Pacific Ocean over the presumed dropping of sanctions slapped on Among.

An ardent supporter of Anita Among since 2011 Ambrose Opedun Ochom from Kasera village in Kamutur sub-county said the sanctions imposed on Annet Anita Among the speaker of parliament who represents the women of Bukedea by the USA government spearheaded by Joe Biden traumatized the people of Bukedea more even Among herself.

“Ordinarily if your child is suspended from school on unclear grounds you get more affected than the victim and have to stomach the pain bitterly that is what was happening to us in Bukedea. When Anita Among said America is not Bukedea she was right because everything she wants is here, our problem was diminishing her name, position and dignity which she took long to make”, Opedun said.

Opedun said the Trump administration is mostly likely going to look at the manner Among was wrongly implicated on corruption scandalous allegations and will thereafter lift the sanctions.

Mary Akol the Bukedea district chairperson said she broke into tears of joy when ordinary women who hardly even interact with Among chanted and praised God for answering their prayers.

“Nobody eats well on hearing that his or her child is accused of unfounded cases. Our problem as the people of Bukedea is not the denial of Among to go to America but causing a fault on the image of a public figure who commands respect in the national house of legislation and Teso as a region.”,Akol said.

Joyce Akello who prays in Komongomeri Pentecostal Revival Ministry in Kamutur sub-county said when it comes to praying for a leader as the bible in 1 Timothy 1:1-2 which calls for praying for Kings and all those in authority.

“There is hardly anybody in Bukedea including some who differ with Among ideologically who has not benefited from her directly or indirectly. And as people of Bukedea. we always put our differences aside if a foreigner attacks our own, we had no weapon to give Anita Among justice but carried everything to the alter of God with prayer and the almighty has timely responded”, Akello said.
