Two German tourists involved in accident in Queen Elizabeth Park

Rubirizi, (UG):- The Territorial Police in Rubirizi District, southwestern Uganda Saturday confirmed that two German nationals were involved in a road crash that happened at around 14:30 at Nyamuhuru in Queen Elizabeth National Park along Kasese-Ishaka road in Rubirizi District.

Police Spokesperson for Greater Bushenyi, Mr Marcial Tumusiime identified the two victims as Stappen Bacher Florian Franz, 38, and Muller Mathias Wolfganga, 41, both from Germany.”

“The accident involved a motorvichicle registration number UBH 444P Toyota Wish silver grey in Colour and UBG 572Y Sino truck red in colour,” Mr Marcial stated.

The motor vehicle registration number UBG 572Y according to police was loaded with sand and was from Ishaka to Hima cement factory when it collided with motor vehicle registration number UBH 444P coming from the opposite direction after the driver lost control and drifted from his lane.

The victims, Mr Marcial said, were taken to Rubirizi Medical Centre for treatment as scene of crime officers examine the exact cause of the crash.
