Pallisa, (UG):- Agule County in Pallisa district which is currently represented by David Ochwa as its member of parliament is on fire as a number of people willing candidates are running around attending and introducing themselves.

The inclusion of Sam Otukol the Pallisa county member of parliament into the arena is setting the pre-campaign ablaze.

Agule has a number of hopeful candidates to be who want to grab the NRM flag among others including Patrick Okiring the former Pallisa town council LC3 chairperson, Adam Obeke, Herbert Okello Okudel, Josephine Ibaseret, Polycarp Ogwari whom David Ochwa booted from parliament.

However, David Apua Kedi says he’s is on reserve waiting for the general elections as NRM leaning.

“I tried to call for a meeting for us to agree before people decide but my brothers misunderstood me, so I have decided to allow them to go for primaries and I will face whoever mushrooms. As of now am popularizing the achievements of NRM in the current tenure of office” Apua said on phone.
Otukol who has so far held a number of talk shows at UBC radio and Aisa FM radio Ngora says Agule has been missing a politician who is community-centered and sorts out problems that affect people.

“I am still a member of parliament for Pallisa county but I declared to contest at Agule in 2026 when my brother Ochwa raised it as a concern telling Prime Minister Robinah Nabanja11 that I was confusing Agule she responded by saying possibly I have seen it fertile for me. Am going to conduct a zigzag method of campaign which has never been in this county”, Otukol said.

He added that during PLE MP Ochwa gave out food because of the pressure he mounted because he wanted to have my efforts frustrated. “We both gave food but mine was eaten by the candidates because I took solid food rice, meat and milk for him he gave rice, sets and cash for meat. So my meat was eaten his remaining as cash for head teachers. I don’t bother knowing how it was spent being a token.
Amos Opolot from Omutoka parish in Kameke sub-county said Otukol’s coming is timely.

“I see a good seed in Otukol unlike his competitors who don’t fulfil their pledges and even deceive their grassroots agents and don’t pick community calls”, Opolot said.

Reaching MP Ochwa for comment was futile as he couldn’t pick up our repeated calls at the time of filing this story.
