Kampala, (UG):- Controversial Ugandan musician Patrick Mulwana popular as Alien Skin and his bodyguard Julius Mugabi aka Julio have been sent to Luzira Prison until Thursday, November 28, 2024, on charges of grievous harm against doctors at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya.

Alien, 30, and Julio Monday, Nov 25, appeared before Makindye Chief Magistrate Ms Esther Adikini and were read the three charges of causing grievous harm in the incident that went viral in a record clip last week.

The Sitya Danger hitmaker arrived at Makindye court premises amid the morning downpour clad in a black jacket, with a face mask on, handcuffed and his head covered in a woven hoodie. He appeared to be calm and lost in thoughts, perhaps reflecting on his actions over the previous days, weeks and months.

In the charges read before the presiding Magistrate on the afternoon, State Prosecution accuse Alien Skin, together with Mugabi and others still at large of storming St Francis Nsambya Hospital on November 19, 2024, and unlawfully doing grievous harm to the hospital staff who included; Dr Zaidi Matovu, Alex Odongo and Anthony Munyanda.

Alien and his group are said to have forcefully entered the hospital on Tuesday night, November 19, and demanded questions from the hospital staff over the death of their colleague, Joram Tumwesigye, 28, a resident of Makindye Division.

Alien and Julio were arrested the next day (Wednesday) and the former remanded to Luzira until December 9th for an older case where he was allegedly involved in robbing Haruna Mubiru’s son, Salim Mubiru of his iPhone 15 valued at Shs3.5 million, Shs480,000 cash and a wallet containing a national ID on September 28, 2024.

His bodyguard, Julio was also arraigned in court the next day and charged before being sent to Luzira until Monday, Nov 25 (today) where he reappeared alongside his boss Alien Skin for the Nsambya assault charges.

The duo, however, denied the charges and sought bail application to be freed but were denied and sent on remand until Thursday, November 28, when they will reappear for bail hearing and further mention of their case.
