Lord Mayor ‘hopeful’ Kizito Moses Nsubuga rallies youths to join ONC’s Bazzukulu Sports Gala

Kampala, (UG):- Kampala’s NRM diehard and Lord Mayor Hopeful, Kizito Moses Nsubuga has called upon youths from all divisions of Kampala to embrace and be part of the first-ever Bazzukulu Sports Gala organized by President Museveni’s Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC).

The gala, set to take place on Friday, December 13th, 2024 at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo in Kampala, will feature over 50 teams with the ultimate cash prize and trophy awarded to the inaugural winners at the grand finale.

Speaking to DailyExpress in an interview on Tuesday, Mayor Kizito commended Hajjat Namyalo aka Chief Muzzukulu for her commitment to encouraging youth participation in sports and using this gala as an initiative to identify and develop talent.

“I thank President Museveni and Hajjat Namyalo for such an initiative aimed at boosting talent among the youths,” Kizito stated.

As a potential NRM candidate hopeful for the Lord Mayor seat, Kizito rallied the bazzukulu in Kampala to come out and showcase their sporting talent irrespective of their different political affiliations. “Let’s come and showcase our talent, there will be scouting agents on the gala day to identify potential talents for signing, so let’s turn up in big numbers.”

Mayor Kizito also rallied sports lovers, especially the youth, to make their way to the stadium in a show of support for their teams as this will be a day of high-energy football, food and drinks.

Known for his dedication to the people and his ambitious vision, Kizito also reiterated his call on residents of Kampala to support his bid for change in the leadership of the City’s political seat as he sets out to go head-to-head with incumbent Lord Mayor Ssalongo Erias Lukwago.

If elected, Mayor, who is also the ONC Coordinator for Kampala Region promises to focus on key areas like improved city planning, better public transportation, and enhanced city cleanliness. His goal is to create a capital city that all Ugandans can take pride in.
