Entebbe, (UG):- Mr. Emmanuel Cohet, the Special Envoy of France for the Great Lakes region, paid a visit to the Chief of Defense Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, at the Special Forces headquarters in Entebbe.
The special envoy was accompanied by the French ambassador to Uganda, HE Xavier Sticker, the First Adviser Mrs Janyce Obrecht, and France’s Defense Attaché to Uganda, Lt Col Yann Chollet.
Emmanuel Cohet, the Special Envoy of France for the Great Lakes region, paid a visit to the Chief of Defense Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, at the Special Forces headquarters in Entebbe.
Gen Kainerugaba who is also the Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations and his guest acknowledged the longstanding bilateral and military cooperation between France and Uganda, pledging to continue working to strengthen their relationship.
The meeting was also attended by the Commander SFC, Maj Gen Gen David Mugisha and other senior UPDF officers.
Uganda and France have a history of cooperation, collaborating diplomatically, militarily, and economically. Dozens of French companies operate in Uganda, and French experts have been involved in training UPDF soldiers.
This visit marks another step in solidifying the Uganda-France partnership.
