Pallisa, (UG):- While presiding over the memorial service and the thanksgiving ceremony of Apolot Joyce Mary the Pallisa district senior assistant secretary who perished in a tragedic accident along Tirinyi-Iganga highway in 2007, the emeritus Bishop of Bukedi diocese Dr Nicodemus Okile Engwalas prophecised that the children Apolot left under a single care of Mr Okello Okudel Herbert will excel highly with the best marketable degrees.
“These children your wife left with you are going to be successful and their fortunate will start from good performance and seeing first-class degrees in this family but Okello I urge you to get a partner so that your family stays in peace and harmony”, Dr Okile stated on Saturday, December 07, 2024, at Agurur village, Akisim sub-county, Agule county in Pallisa district.
Speaking to DailyExpress today, Okudel said he yesterday (Tuesday) knelt down to adore God at Kyambogo University upon hearing unexpectedly his son Tukei Nobert Edmonds’s name read as one of the students to be conferred with a first-class degree in business administration.
“God really answers prayers if well packaged to him. My child Tukei told me to buy 70 iron sheets for the roofing of Okisiran-Agurur church of Uganda where their mother subscribed to as the only gift for the spirit”, Okudel said.
The Agule County MP hopeful said he gave his children inspiration, being a holder of a Master’s Degree in Public Procurement management, a postgraduate in Financial management, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He also holds a Diploma in Business Studies and is currently working as a private Auditor for Scorpio Africa Ltd.
Okudel’s son, Tukei Edmond during an exclusive interview with DailyExpress revealed his education starting out at Mother Manjeri P/s where he scored 8 aggregate. He then went to Seeta High School Mbala and scored 14 agg in UCE and continued in the same school for A level scoring 18 points.
Tukei then joined Kyambogo University for a Bachelor in Business Administration where he graduated with a first-class honours degree at the varsity’s 20th graduation.
“It has not been easy for us but I give glory y God for our father Okello who stood with us since our mother died. It is our task to make him happy by fulfilling what he tells us,” Tukei said.
John Okia the Pallisa district deputy CAO who is an uncle to Tukei said it was a joyous moment in their family for this achievement. “Tukei is a humble young man who is devoted to whatever tasks he is assigned and promised to work hard,” Okia said.
At Kyambogo University’s ongoing 20th graduation ceremony ending Friday, 13th December, 2024, a total number of graduands 11,721 are going to be awarded various categories of degrees.
