Anyeke Health Centre IV rewards best staff for outstanding performance

Anyeke, (UG):- Anyeke Health Centre IV in Oyam district has recognized the exceptional efforts of four of its staff members for their outstanding performance in 2024.

The awards ceremony, held earlier today, celebrated the dedication and hard work of Ray Ewal, clinical officer, Jerimaya Odyeny, inventory officer, Felicity Okori, enrolled nurse and Joseph Opio Obonyo, the orthopaedic officer.

Patrick Omara Olwol, the incharge of the facility said the awardees were praised for their commitment to improving patient care and their unwavering dedication to their work.

“These individuals have gone above and beyond in their roles to provide excellent healthcare services to the community. This recognition serves as a testament to the high standards of excellence that Anyeke HCIV is trying to uphold,” Omara said.

He added that their objective come 2025 is to show to patients that whatever is done in private facilities can be done in public facilities.

Speaking at the event, Tenywa Ayubu, the assistant resident district commissioner for Oyam, called upon the staff to be committed workers who love their job, have to work and avoid absenteeism. “Be with that heart of service delivery. Be with that heart of thinking about that sick person.”

“You act as an example, sit there to wait for someone for delivery. If you do that, even if we ask the government, you feel proud of yourself. When you give a good service, our government will be felt by these locals and then we move on very well. I pray for that,” Tenywa said.

Jerimaya Odyeny, one of the awardees, expressed their gratitude for the recognition and pledged to continue their hard work and dedication to serving the community and encouraged their colleagues to strive for excellence in their respective roles.

I’m excited to be awarded one of the best-performing staff at the Nikkeil Centre IV, but the main reason that brings this out is our record keeping at the stores and I encourage my fellow health workers to take records as something very serious.
