Museveni heads to Bugisu for PDM Assessment Tour, Youth Symposium

Mbale, (UG):- President Museveni is this week heading to the Bugisu sub-region in continuation of his ongoing assessment tours on the impact and performance of the Parish Development Model (PDM), a proven wealth creation programme among the citizens.

The Deputy Press Secretary to H.E the President, Hajj Kirunda Faruk confirmed to DailyExpress that the Fountain of Honour will starting tomorrow camp in Bugisu sub-region on official duty and conclude the visit with a public rally on Thursday.

“Yes, it is true, the President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E Gen. (Rtd). Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will be in Bugisu Sub-Region from Tomorrow, Tuesday, December 17th to 19th, 2024, in continuation of his Parish Development Model (PDM) performance assessment tour,” Hajj Kirunda told this publication in a phone conversation on Monday.

During the sub-region tour, the President will “visit some beneficiaries, meet stakeholders including various categories of leaders and technical staff, and address a public rally on Thursday.”

On Friday, the President will preside over the Bugisu Youth Symposium organized at Mbale SS as the Chief Guest before embarking on a festive holiday away from office.

The emphasis of the assessment tours according to the Presidency is to emphasize the Four-Acre Model, Parish Development Model, Emyooga and other Government livelihood Programmes as proven avenues for wealth creation among the wanainchi.

The Presidential PDM visit to Bugisu comes just days after the completion of his performance assessment tour on PDM and wealth creation in the Sebei sub-region where he officially opened the National High Altitude Training Centre in Teryet, Kapchorwa and the Sebei Zonal Industrial Hub to boost talent and skills among the youths.
