Mbale, (UG):- President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni aka Jajja by the Bazzukulu has been confirmed as the Chief Guest at the Bugisu Youth Symposium scheduled for Friday, December 20, 2024, at Mbale S.S Playground in Mbale City.
The symposium, which brings together youth and residents from the Bugisu Sub-Region; including Mbale City, Bududa, Manafwa, Sironko, Bulambuli, and Namisindwa aims to provide a platform for engagement and empowerment with the H.E., who is also the NRM National Chairman.
The Office of the National Chairman (ONC), the organizers of the event confirmed the development in a Tuesday press statement and rallied Bugisu youths to attend in large numbers and take advantage of the opportunity to interact with the President and learn from his leadership and experience.
“Bazzukulu Ba Museveni and Ugandans in Bugisu Sub-Region that is; Mbale City, Mbale, Bududa, Manafwa, Sironko, Bulambuli, and Namisindwa, Jajja H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa is to preside over as the Chief Guest and furthermore give an opportunity lecture on the subject of Wealth Creation at the Bugisu Youth Symposium on Friday 20th December 2024 at Mbale S.S Playground in Mbale City,” read a statement issued by the ONC Public Relations Officer Mr Kintu Moses.
Presiding over the symposium as the Chief Guest, President Museveni will deliver a critical opportunity lecture on Wealth Creation, underscoring the government’s commitment to socio-economic transformation.
Jajja’s lecture is expected to highlight strategies for economic empowerment, job creation, and poverty alleviation among Uganda’s youth, aligning with national development goals.
The Bugisu Youth Symposium provides a key opportunity for young people in the region to gain insights into wealth creation, entrepreneurship, and self-sufficiency, and local leaders, stakeholders, plus the public have hailed the initiative as timely and transformative.
The symposium is expected to attract thousands of participants eager to explore pathways to prosperity under the theme of wealth creation and national development.
Chris Buyera, the ONC Regional Coordinator for Bugisu and the lead organizer of the symposium says the event is set to be a pivotal moment for the youth in the Bugisu region, as Jajja will once again take the stage to impart his powerful message.
“His focus will be on inspiring the youths to take charge of their futures through entrepreneurial ventures, practical life skills, and understanding the importance of sustainable wealth creation,” Buyera noted. “Many attendees will undoubtedly find themselves motivated by the success stories of their peers who have already turned Jajja’s teachings into tangible outcomes.
The event comes in due time when there are many testimonies of young people whose lives have been transformed, driven by the guidance and practical strategies he shares on how to build personal wealth and contribute to national development.
