Kampala, (UG):- The Electoral Commission (EC) of Uganda has announced open vacancies of up to 15 positions for qualified candidates to join the commission as 15 positions of Election Officers/Assistant District Election Administrators ahead of the forthcoming 2026 general election.

In a job advert posted Friday, Jan 03, via its official X handle, the commission urged qualified Ugandans to submit handwritten or typed applications no later than January 17th to be considered for these positions.

“Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Education, Business Administration, Law, IT, Procurement, or a related field in Humanities from a recognized University/Institution,” the advert reads in part.

“Comprehensively typed CVs with contact address, daytime telephone numbers of both the applicant and three referees, [and] copies of certified academic transcripts and certificates. These documents must be delivered to the Human Resource Office or Central Registry before the 17th of January 2025.”

The recruitment, according to the EC, is part of preparations to strengthen its administrative capacity ahead of Uganda’s highly anticipated 2026 general elections which are expected to run between January 12 and February 9, 2026.

The Commission has since urged eligible Ugandans to seize this opportunity to contribute to the democratic process.
