Kampala, (UG);- Uganda’s music scene is currently embroiled in a fierce rivalry between two of its biggest stars, Alien Skin (Patrick Mulwana) and Pallaso (Pius Mayanja).
The tension between the artists has reached boiling point, with violent clashes between their groups, including a chaotic standoff during the Empele Festival in Buloba, and a raid on Alien Skin’s home by Pallaso’s crew.
Moses Muhangi, President of the Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF), has called for the two artists to settle their differences in a controlled environment a boxing match.
UBF is promoting corporate boxing, an initiative that allows celebrities, including musicians, to engage in professional bouts.
The concept has gained traction in Uganda, with previous celebrity fights, such as Grenade Official clashing with Rickman, drawing substantial attention.
Muhangi insists that the artists channel their aggression into a regulated fight rather than continue their violent street confrontations.
“These illegal brawls are ruining the reputation of boxing. They should settle their differences in the ring, with the winner receiving a belt,” said Muhangi.
He also noted that both Pallaso and Alien Skin fall within the same weight category, making them ideal opponents for a match that could help end their public feud.
The appeal for a boxing match comes amid growing concerns about the safety of the artists and those involved in their entourage.
Police are currently investigating the destruction of Alien Skin’s property and the theft during a raid, while musicians like Fik Fameica and Big Tril have also encouraged the artists to resolve their conflict in a safer, organized manner.
A boxing match could offer a legitimate and neutral way for both Pallaso and Alien Skin to demonstrate strength, resolve their differences, and avoid further public conflict.
By fighting in the ring, the artists could prove their maturity, discipline, and commitment to settling issues without escalating violence.
This would not only provide a spectacle for their fans but also set an example for other public figures in Uganda, potentially ending the beef while restoring their reputations.
