Kamuli, (UG):- Authorities in Busoga Region’s Kamuli Municipality are holding in custody one Joseph Takayuka, the manager Savannah Guest House to aid in investigations surrounding the sudden death of an unidentified female adult who was Saturday found dead at the Guest House.
The incident came to light on January 11, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m., when police received reports about the death of the woman at the guest house located in Gabula-Kitimbo zone, Kasoigo Ward, Northern Division.
Preliminary findings reveal that the newly established guest house had been operating for just one week, and lacks proper client registration records, as required by law. This prompted authorities to order the manager’s arrest to aid the investigation.
In the meanwhile, the body of the deceased was by press time transferred to Kamuli General Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Authorities said investigations are still ongoing to determine the cause of death and gather additional facts surrounding the case and urged the public to remain calm as they work to uncover the details of this tragic incident.
