Woman, 27, brutally murdered in Kabarole, police hunt for suspect

Kabarole, (UG):- The Police in Western Uganda’s Kabarole District are actively investigating circumstances surrounding the tragic murder of 27-year-old Ahimbisibwe Provia whose lifeless body was found abandoned in the bedroom in a suspected homicide case.

The incident came to light after Ahimbisibwe’s mother-in-law, Kyokushaba Oliver discovered her daughter’s body prompting police to investigate the motive behind the suspected murder.

In a statement released Tuesday afternoon, police revealed that a sniffer dog was deployed to aid the investigation leading to the home of Beinomugisha Alosious, the prime suspect in the tragic murder.

“When the police sniffer dog was introduced to the scene, it led the investigators to the home of Beinomugisha Alosious, who is suspected of committing the crime and is currently on the run,” the police statement read in part.

Police authorities urged the public to remain calm and cooperate with law enforcement by providing any information that could assist in capturing the suspect and bringing him to justice.

“Efforts are being made to apprehend him,” the statement emphasized.
