Kampala, (UG):- Ugandan rapper, Lil Pazo real name Mukasa Yasin has vowed that he will perform at any event, including those organized by the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), as long as his paycheck is guaranteed.
Speaking for the first after he was castigated for leaning towards the ruling government, Lil Pazo publicly declared that his focus is on earning a living through music, regardless of political affiliations, a move that has left many of his NUP supporters fuming, accusing him of “selling out.”
The development came after Lil Pazo, a vocal admirer of NUP leader Bobi Wine and his political ideals, performed at a high-profile event in Mubende hosted by NRM Chief Muzzukulu, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo on Saturday, January 25.

The performance, which went viral on social media, did not sit well with his NUP-aligned fanbase, who were quick to brand him a traitor.
But Lil Pazo is not backing down. In a fiery TikTok live broadcast, the singer unapologetically defended his decision, emphasizing that his loyalty lies with his music and his ability to provide for himself, not with political factions.
“Music is my business; it’s how I earn my bread. People need to understand that! I’ll perform anywhere, anytime, as long as I’m paid. Tell me, where in Uganda do you find a shop that refuses to sell to someone because of their political party? Music is no different,” the Nkudi singer lashed out.

Lil Pazo’s bold stance left divided opinions among fans, with some hailing him as a pragmatic artist focused on his career, while others accuse him of betraying the cause he once championed.
And as the debate rages on, one thing that remains clear is that Lil Pazo is not letting politics stand in the way of his paycheck.
