Col Nakalema’s father, Rev Eriasafu Sserwadda passes on at 75

Kampala, (UG):- The Senior Presidential Advisor on Anti-Corruption, Col Edith Nakalema Saturday pronounced the death of her father, Rev Eriasafu Serwadda who passed on at the age of 75.

In an emotional announcement shared through her official X account, Col Nakalema, who is also Head of the State House Investors Protection Unit, described the loss as heartbreaking and called for prayers and support during this difficult time.

“With profound sorrow, I share the heartbreaking news of my father’s sudden death,” she wrote. “In this moment of deep loss, we hold onto the promise in Psalm 34:18. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit,” she added

Col Nakalema described her late father as a man of love, wisdom, and unwavering faith, adding that while they mourn his passing, they also celebrate the legacy he leaves behind.

“As we grieve, we also celebrate Mzee Rev. Eriasafu Serwadda’s life – a life of love, wisdom, and unwavering faith. We kindly ask for your prayers and support as we navigate this difficult time,” she added.

Mzee Rev. Eriasafu Serwadda was a respected elder whose impact was felt within his community and beyond. His passing is a great loss to his family, friends, and all those who knew him.

Friends, colleagues, and well-wishers have since sent their condolences and prayers to Col. Nakalema and her family during this difficult period.

I join the family and country in mourning a man that has served the Lord with much dedication, and raised patriotic, faithful and diligent children like Col. Nakalema. May his memory be a blessing, and his soul rest in the arms of the Lord! FK”
