2024 UCE results out today, here’s what to expect

The Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni will on Thursday, February 09, 2023 release the results of the 2022 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), a highly placed source at the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has confirmed.

Kampala, (UG):- The Minister of Education and Sports, First Lady Hon Janet Museveni is today (Tuesday, February 11), 2025, set to preside over the official release of the results for the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has confirmed.

“All is set for the duo release of two sets of examination results for the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations. The double release includes the results of the first cohort of learners for the New Lower Secondary Curriculum ( NLSC) and the results for the last cohort of learners for the Old Curriculum ( Transitional) Examination,” UNEB Spokesperson, Ms Jennifer Kalule Musamba said in a statement released on Tuesday morning.

“The results will be officially released by the Minister for Education and Sports, Mama Janet K. Museveni. The function will take place at State House Nakasero, starting at 11:00 am,” she added.

The 2024 S.4 results, for the pioneer candidates of the new lower secondary curriculum and the last cohort of the transitional one, will be the second set of the national exams to be released after PLE results that were released last month.

How to check 2024 UCE Results

After the official release, parents, candidates and well-wishers will be able to access the results via SMS on their mobile phone handsets by typing, full Index No, and sending to 6600.

Please note that the Index Numbers for the Transitional Candidates end with ‘T’ e.g U0000/001T’. So to check UCE Results for the transitional candidates, type UCE U0000/001T and send to 6600.

To access results for the New Curriculum candidates; type UCE U0000/001 and send to 6600.

Ms Kalule explained that schools will be able to access the results through their portals as soon as the Hon. Minister releases the results for the duo examination.
