Kampala, (UG):- The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has today, (Tuesday, February 11), released the official results of the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) for candidates who sat for their O’level national examinations last year.
Following the release of the results, parents, candidates and well-wishers are now be able to access the results via SMS on their mobile phone handsets by typing, full Index No, and sending to 6600.
Whether online or via SMS, one can quickly check their performance from anywhere. This guide will walk you through both methods, ensuring a hassle-free process.
To access UCE results via the UNEB e-Portal (Online);
- Open your web browser and go to https://ereg.uneb.ac.ug/results.
- Enter Your Index Number exactly as provided by your school.
- Click the “Search” button and wait while the system processes your request.
- Once displayed, you can review and print your results for future reference.
How to Check UCE Results via SMS
If you prefer using SMS or lack internet access, you can still retrieve your results using the following method;
- Open your phone’s messaging app.
- Type UCE followed by your Index Number (e.g., UCE 000012/003).
- Send the message to 6600.
- And Receive Your Results (You will get a reply with your UCE results within minutes.)
- This service costs UGX 500 per SMS.
Please note that the Index Numbers for the Transitional Candidates end with ‘T’ e.g U0000/001T’. So to check UCE Results for the transitional candidates, type UCE U0000/001T and send to 6600.
Bonus: How to Verify Your UCE Results
In some cases, you may need to verify your UCE or UACE results; sometimes for accuracy confirmation, further education applications, or employment purposes. UNEB offers an official verification service to authenticate your results.

- Go to UNEB eServices.
- Click on “eServices” in the top menu.
- Choose “Verification of Results” (either individual or non-individual application).
- Review the instructions provided on the page
- Upload your application online via the UNEB portal.
