Silverbacks Fixture

Uganda’s Men’s National Basketball Team, the Silverbacks, are set for a crucial second leg of the FIBA Afrobasket Qualifiers in Libya from February 21-23.
On Tuesday, FUBA named the Men’s national Basketball team, Silverbacks, squad for the second window of the Qualifiers.
A major boost for the Silverbacks is the return of Ishmail Wainright, who missed the first window of qualifiers last year.
Wainright, who plays for Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel’s Premier League, joins the team along with captain Jimmy Enabu, who missed the first phase due to work commitments.
The 12-man squad consists of seven home-based players and five from abroad, though the team will be without forward Arthur Kaluma, who is busy with college basketball in the U.S.A. and Titus Lual Odeke, who is injured.
Uganda faces tough opponents in Group B: Cape Verde, Nigeria, and hosts Libya.
Uganda, with only one win from the first window, will need strong performances to secure a spot in the final Afrobasket tournament in Angola. The top three teams from each group will qualify.
The Silverbacks are focused on improving their game after a tough start in the qualifiers.
