Mbale, (UG):- The Umukuka III of the Bamasaba, His Highness Jude Mike Mudoma, has congratulated learners, teachers, and headteachers across Masabaland for their excellent performance in the recently released results of the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations, the Inzu Ya Masaba spokesperson Hon Steven Masiga has revealed.
Among the top-performing schools that excelled in the 2024 UCE in Bugisu included; Mbale High School, Nyondo SSS, Mulatsi SSS, Nakaloke SSS, Mbale SSS, Nabumali SSS, Bulucheke SSS, Bubulo Girls, Mbale Deaf SSS, Bubyangu SSS, Masaba SSS, and Magale SSS, among others.
Speaking to DailyExpress on Wednesday, February 12, Mr Masiga said that the Umukuka is set to embark on his annual tour of Bugisu schools to personally congratulate school leadership and ensure continued academic excellence.
“His Highness will visit schools across the region not only to celebrate this achievement but also to encourage sustained academic performance,” Masiga stated.
Masiga emphasized that the Umukuka’s school visits will not only celebrate success but also assess the overall performance of schools not yet accounted for.
“As a cultural institution, we have a duty to reach every school in Masabaland and beyond. While we appreciate the efforts of students, parents, and school leaders in achieving these results, we also encourage them to remain focused,” Masiga stressed.
“Education extends beyond O-Level to A-Level, university, and tertiary institutions, and all these stages must be completed,” he added.
Masiga also revealed that the Umukuka’s cultural monitoring program will extend beyond Uganda’s borders to Bungoma, Kenya, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to education across Masabaland territory.
