Cairo, (UG):- As Uganda Cranes gear up to face Mozambique in the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Mozambique in Cairo, Egypt, the national team has received a significant boost with Wigan Athletic defender Toby Sibbick joining the squad in Egypt.
Sibbick, who previously featured for Uganda in friendly matches against Comoros and Ghana in 2024, brings valuable experience to the team’s defense. His arrival strengthens the squad as they prepare for a crucial encounter against Mozambique on March 20, 2025.
In addition to Sibbick, several other key players have reported to camp in Cairo, including Isaac Muleme, Kenneth Semakula, Mutyaba Travis, Denis Omedi, Calvin Kabuye, Elvis Bwomono, and Elio Capradossi.
With the group’s inclusion, the Cranes, who sit fifth in Group G, now boast a fully assembled and reinforced squad ready to take on Mozambique in a must-win fixture.
This will be followed by a home game against Guinea on March 25, 2025, at the refurbished Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
