WhatsApp now allows users to add music to their status updates

Meta-owned WhatsApp has started rolling out a new feature that allows its users to add music to status updates, enhancing the way they share moments with friends and family.

The feature, now available in WhatsApp’s new beta update for Android version 2.25.2.5 allows users to select and integrate songs of their choice into photos, videos, or text statuses, similar to functionalities available on platforms like Instagram and Facebook.

Users can choose the songs from Meta’s extensive music library or search for a song with a keyword to filter out their preferred choice and add it to the status update.

Once you add the track to your status, your contacts will be not only able to hear the track but also be able to see its name at the top, allowing them to look for the track’s details.
