Kabale, Uganda:- Male Youth Councillors from Western Uganda have thrown their weight behind Rebecca Kadaga, urging the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) to retain her as Vice Chairperson (Female).
During the endorsement on Monday, March 31st, at White Horse Inn in Kabale, the leaders led by Hon. Wilfred Arinda Nshekantebirwe, the LC5 Male Youth Councillor for Rubanda District. He described Kadaga as a strong and experienced leader who has significantly contributed to both the party and the country.
“Kadaga has been in leadership for many years, and she knows how to bring people together. She has helped women and young people find their place in the party. We need her to continue,” said Hon. Wilfred Arinda Nshekantebirwe.
Kadaga currently serves as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs. She also made history as Uganda’s first female Speaker of Parliament, a position she held for a decade. Many respect her for her dedication to Uganda and the NRM party.
Youth leaders from various districts in Western Uganda praised Kadaga for her leadership skills and commitment to the party’s growth.
Ronald Bagamuhunda from Kabale District said, “Kadaga has helped to keep NRM strong. She unites people, and we need her to continue.”
Tweisgye Elias from Rukiga District said, “She has always worked to make sure everyone in the party is included. We cannot afford to lose such a leader.”
Mbabazi James from Rwampara District said, “Kadaga is a mother in leadership. She listens to people and supports them.”
Johns Tukesiga from Mbarara City said, “She has strengthened NRM, and we must support her to continue her good work.”
Bwambale Patrick from Kasese Municipality said, “Kadaga’s leadership has benefited our party. She understands what the people need.”
Asemera Michael from Kabarole District said, “Kadaga has always supported young people and women in the party. We trust her to keep making the right decisions.”
As the NRM prepares for the forthcoming internal elections, the youth leaders are calling upon the party’s top brass to ensure that Kadaga remains in her position as Vice Chairperson (Female) to continue her impactful work.
