Mr. Rees committed to mobilizing support from their friends and networks across Europe to ensure the health facility acquires the much-needed theatre machine before the end of 2025.

Speaking on behalf of the Health Management Committee (HUMIC), Chairman Steven Masiga expressed gratitude to the delegation for prioritizing the health needs of the Bamasaaba community and other Mbale City residents.

“I thank the visitors for their unwavering commitment to improving healthcare services here. I also appreciate the government for recruiting and paying staff, as well as providing essential medication,” Masiga said.

Masiga further noted that acquiring the theatre machine would significantly boost the facility’s capacity to handle complicated deliveries and emergency surgeries. “Once we acquire the theatre machine, the process of attaining full Health Centre IV status will be accelerated,” he added.

The health facility’s staff, including Dr. Edith Fomum and in-charge Janet Nabulo, pledged continued dedication to providing quality healthcare services on behalf of both Spotlight on Africa and the Government of Uganda.

Spotlight on Africa’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure in Mbale City is expected to enhance maternal health services and overall healthcare delivery for the community.
