Kampala, Uganda: The Senior Presidential Advisor and Head of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has urged Ugandan women and youth to embrace government wealth creation programs and remain anchors of family and national transformation.
Hajjat Namyalo made the call while addressing the 3rd anniversary celebrations of Ddoboozilyo Events Management Association, an umbrella body for MCs, Ssengas, Kkōjas, decorators, and other players in Uganda’s vibrant events industry.
The event was held Monday afternoon at Tick Hotel in Kawempe Division, Kampala, drawing hundreds of members from across the country — the majority being women.
In her keynote address to the congregation, Hajjat Namyalo commended the association for their resilience, creativity, and commitment to uplifting communities through the events sector.
“You, the women of Uganda, are the foundation of your families. I urge you to embrace government programs like Emyooga and the Parish Development Model. Follow them up and ensure they work for you, because even as President Museveni is supporting us with these funds, he cannot monitor every corner of the country,” she said.
Hajjat Namyalo noted that many members of the association, especially single mothers, are frontline actors in the war against household poverty. She applauded their dedication to providing for their families and using their talents to generate income and preserve Uganda’s cultural values — particularly through local languages and traditional practices.

She further praised the group’s unity and organisation, saying it made government engagement easier and more impactful.
“Your unity as an association is crucial. It makes it easier for the government to reach you and monitor funds for real impact. Organization is power,” Hajjat Namyalo noted, reaffirming her office’s commitment to providing startup tools, capital, and training opportunities to Ddoboozilyo members.
Touching on the broader political landscape, Hajjat Namyalo emphasized the link between peace, stability, and economic progress. She called on the women and youth to rally behind President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the NRM government to safeguard the gains made over the decades.
“Let us not be misled. The peace and stability we enjoy today are because of President Museveni’s visionary leadership. Support the NRM government — it has made it possible for our children to go to school, for women to do business, and for events like this to happen peacefully,” she added.
On behalf of the association, Ms. Nanyonjo Juliet, the spokesperson, hailed Hajjat Namyalo for her unwavering support to women across the country.
“Hajjat Namyalo doesn’t just talk about empowering women — she actually shows up and supports us. We are honoured to have her here and thank her for prioritizing women in her wealth creation efforts,” Nanyonjo said.

Based in Nakulabye, Kampala, Ddoboozilyo Events Management Association brings together over 1,000 professionals in the events sector from across Uganda. The group plays a growing role in both the informal economy and the preservation of Buganda’s cultural identity, especially through community ceremonies, training, and entertainment.
