Victoria University’s Lawrence Muganga in London for UK-Uganda Trade & Business Forum

London, UK: Victoria University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lawrence Muganga, together with a VU delegation, are proudly representing the institution at the prestigious UK-Uganda Trade and Business Forum, currently underway at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, London.

The forum serves as a strategic platform for fostering partnerships between Ugandan institutions and UK-based stakeholders.

In a statement shared via the university’s official X platform, Prof. Muganga emphasized Victoria University’s commitment to global engagement. The senior educationist highlighted the institution’s focus on building connections with parents, education partners, investors, and communities across the UK and Europe.

“Our presence here is a bold statement of intent,” he noted, emphasizing the university’s dedication to a globally connected, technologically driven, and outcome-oriented higher education model.

The UK-Uganda Trade and Business Forum is a significant event that brings together business leaders, investors, and policymakers to explore opportunities for collaboration between the two nations.

The forum also coincides with the recent launch of Uganda Airlines’ direct flights from Entebbe to London Gatwick, a development expected to enhance trade and investment ties between Uganda and the UK.

VU’s participation in the forum aligns with its strategic goal of expanding international linkages and fostering diaspora engagement. By showcasing its innovative educational approaches and commitment to real-world outcomes, the university aims to attract partnerships that will benefit its students and the broader academic community.

As the forum continues, Victoria University remains focused on leveraging this opportunity to establish meaningful collaborations that will contribute to the advancement of higher education and economic development in Uganda.
