Kampala, Uganda: President Museveni’s Office of the National Chairman (ONC) continued its countrywide Eid Al-Adha support campaign on Thursday, with the Senior Presidential Advisor Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo reaching out to Muslim communities in Banda, Mukono, Luwero, and Kasangati with cattle and food packages.

The campaign, conducted on behalf of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, aims to ensure Muslim faithful across Uganda celebrate Eid Al-Adha (which is falling tomorrow, Friday, June 06) with dignity and joy.

At Masjid Al-Hidaaya in Banda, Nakawa Division, Hajjat Namyalo donated a cow, rice, posho, and sugar to the local Muslim community.

The mosque chairman, Muhamood Bukenya, who received the donation on behalf of the Muslims, expressed gratitude for the timely support. “We are truly grateful for this support as we prepare for Eid Al-Adha,” Bukenya said. “The donated animals will go a long way in ensuring many families celebrate with joy.”

In Mukono District, Namyalo, popularly known as the Chief Muzzukulu, visited Masjid Noor Seeta UMEA, where she donated another cow and food packages. She listened to the Muslims’ woes and pledged personal support toward completing the mosque’s construction, drawing cheers and ululations from the congregants.

The third stop was Masjid Taqwa in Zirobwe, Luwero District, where Namyalo was welcomed by Sheikh Zaidi Nyanzi, head of Sheikhs in Luwero, and Sheikh Swalahudin Nurudin Ssendagire. She again extended donations of a cow and food relief to the faithful.

Namyalo concluded Day 2 of the campaign at Masjid Saeed Al Majdour in Kasangati, where the same Eid packages were distributed. Worshippers praised the gesture, describing it as a powerful symbol of spiritual solidarity and national unity.

Message from the President

While addressing Muslims at each mosque, Namyalo reminded them that the donations were made on behalf of H.E. President Museveni, whom she fondly referred to as Jajja, to ensure Muslims mark Eid in peace and dignity.

“His Excellency the President sends his love, blessings, and warmest Eid greetings to all Muslims,” she said. “Through ONC, we are ensuring that our Muslim brothers and sisters across Uganda celebrate with dignity and joy.”

She called on Muslims to reflect on the meaning of Eid—sacrifice, obedience, and generosity—and echoed the President’s message on embracing wealth creation and economic transformation.

Thursday’s outreach followed a successful Day 1 of the campaign, which covered Kisenyi, Kibuli, Kawempe, Nansana, and Masajja, where cows and food were also distributed.

Hajjat Namyalo reaffirmed ONC’s commitment to supporting religious and vulnerable communities across the country, saying the Eid drive has become a tradition of meaningful impact.

“This is not just a seasonal gesture. Supporting our communities during Eid has become a tradition of ONC. We shall continue to deliver these blessings to even more areas in the days to come,” she stated.

Eid Al-Adha, also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah. It is marked through animal sacrifice and sharing meat with family, neighbours, and the needy, reflecting the core values of compassion and spiritual unity.
