The 2025 UK-Africa Business Summit aims to expand market access for African exports, increase capital inflow for transformative ventures, and create cross-border partnerships that boost innovation and inclusive development.
London, United Kingdom: The United Kingdom is set to host the 15th edition of the UK–Africa Business, Trade & Investment Summit on September 12, 2025, at the Royal Horseguards Hotel in London, with Uganda among key focus countries for investment and trade partnerships.
The premier event, organized in collaboration with the UK Department for Business & Trade, UK Export Finance (UKEF), and the governments of Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania, will attract over 500 high-level investors, policymakers, CEOs, and entrepreneurs to explore capital-intensive ventures across Africa.
This year’s summit is expected to unlock billions of dollars in trade and investment deals, with targeted sessions on bankable projects in Uganda and other East African economies.
Key sectors on the agenda include Oil & Gas, Minerals & Mining, Agriculture & Agri-Tech, Renewable Energy, Tourism, Fintech, ICT, Infrastructure, and Industrialization—areas where Uganda continues to present emerging opportunities for foreign direct investment (FDI).
Speaking ahead of the event, organizers said the summit is designed to “deepen UK–Africa commercial relations and accelerate strategic partnerships across sectors driving Africa’s next decade of growth.”
Uganda is expected to showcase its flagship industrial parks, agri-business corridors, clean energy projects, and digital transformation frameworks—which are central to the country’s Vision 2040 and National Development Plan III.
Participants will include; government ministers and senior officials from Uganda and other African nations, international investors, venture capitalists, and private equity firms, CEOs, project developers, diaspora entrepreneurs, and infrastructure financiers and Policy advisors, analysts, and development institutions
Over the last 14 editions, the summit has hosted 3,700+ participants and facilitated dozens of bilateral trade deals, cementing its reputation as the UK’s leading Africa-focused investment platform.
