Kampala, Uganda: The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has stirred humour and curiosity on social media after recounting his personal experience with renowned Israeli-American televangelist Benny Hinn, whose recent visit to Uganda attracted tens of thousands at Rubaga Miracle Centre Cathedral.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Gen Muhoozi playfully claimed that his hair loss could be linked to Hinn’s famous healing prayers.

“I tried Benny Hinn’s prayers long ago. I asked Almighty God not to give me a bald head, as soon as I mentioned Benny Hinn, He removed my hair extra fast!” the CDF posted.

The comment sparked amusement among followers, including BBC presenter and long-time friend Alan Kasujja, who replied with laughing emojis.

The CDF then responded, “Allan… you remember the prayers. Apparently, God doesn’t care about hair,” prompting Kasujja to joke: “We have really prayed. And we continue to pray. Maybe one day things will change.”

Benny Hinn concluded his four-day crusade on Tuesday, having preached at Pastor Robert Kayanja’s church, with his high-profile visit culminating in a private prayer session with President Yoweri Museveni at State Lodge – Nakasero on Saturday evening.

Commenting on the presidential blessing, Gen Muhoozi again took to X with his trademark blend of humour and authority: “Someone prayed for Mzee without Security’s permission?? How did that happen? Those who prayed and those who allowed the prayers to take place are all under investigation.”

The post drew hundreds of reactions online, with many praising the CDF’s candid style and sense of humour.
