Kampala, Uganda: FIFA President Gianni Infantino has extended warm congratulations to Eng Hon. Moses Hassim Magogo following his re-election as President of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).

Magogo, who has led FUFA since 2013, was re-elected unopposed during the 101st FUFA Ordinary General Assembly held Saturday, July 5, at Hoima Resort Hotel. He will now serve a fresh four-year term running through 2029.

“Congratulations, Moses Magogo, upon being re-elected as President of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations,” Infantino posted on his official socials, praising Magogo’s leadership and commitment to developing Ugandan football.

Priorities for the New Term

After his victory by acclamation over the weekend, Magogo outlined his main targets for the next four years, vowing to build on past achievements while preparing Uganda for upcoming continental competitions.

He said FUFA will improve football as a sport and business, engage more stakeholders to broaden participation, and focus preparations for the 2027 African Nations Championship (CHAN) and Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Magogo first became FUFA President in 2013 and has overseen Uganda’s qualification to major tournaments, growth in grassroots football, and structural reforms in administration.
