Kampala, Uganda: Alex Lusswa Luwemba, the former personal assistant to the late Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya, has come out to defend the authenticity of the DNA results released regarding the paternity of children linked to the fallen legislator.

Speaking to the press in Kampala, Lusswa insisted that only four out of the nine children claimed by various women were confirmed to be biologically his, according to certified DNA testing.

“The results that I told you of the DNA are very accurate. Whether you believe it or not, that is the only truth,” Lusswa said.

Following the death of Hon. Ssegirinya, who passed without a legally recognized spouse, several women came forward claiming he fathered children with them.

The late legislator had publicly acknowledged only one child, a daughter named Naggirinya, but reportedly had no stable relationship with her mother. The contested claims prompted the family to initiate DNA testing to determine the rightful heirs to the deceased’s estate.

“I have nothing to gain. I’m not a family member and I’m not entitled to any of the estate,” Lusswa said, dismissing accusations that he was manipulating the outcome for personal interest.

According to Lusswa, five of the nine women who came forward are now contesting the results after being informed their children were not biologically linked to the late MP.

“They’re angry, I understand. But that doesn’t change the facts. The truth is what it is. We had to ensure only genuine children are recognized in the estate distribution,” he added.

The revelation has sparked tension among claimants, with calls for transparency in how Ssegirinya’s estate will be handled moving forward.
