Naguru, Uganda: The Ruparelia Group and its new real estate wing, The Living Group, on Friday unveiled the ultra-modern Vista Apartments Naguru, a high-end residential development in Kampala’s upscale suburb of Naguru, dedicating it to their late son Rajiv Ruparelia, who initiated the project in 2022 but died tragically in a car crash before its official launch.
The unveiling ceremony, held on July 11, 2025, was led by Ugandan business magnate Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, alongside his wife Jyotsna Ruparelia, daughter Sheena Ruparelia, and granddaughter Inara Ruparelia, who cut the ribbon in a moving tribute to her late father.
“This was Rajiv’s dream,” said Dr. Sudhir in brief remarks. “Today, we honour his vision and the incredible legacy he left behind.”
The function was deeply emotional for the Ruparelia family, especially as Inara, Rajiv’s daughter, led the symbolic act that sealed a generational handover and the fulfillment of her father’s dream.
“Rajiv left us too soon, but this building will always remind us of who he was: visionary, determined, and deeply rooted in creating beauty and value,” said Sheena Ruparelia, the late’s sister.
Family, close friends, executives from The Living Group (the developers behind the Vista Naguru), and associates of the Ruparelia Group gathered atop Naguru Hill to witness the handover of one of Kampala’s most iconic new addresses. “This was his final project, and it’s one that will serve generations,” said a family friend in attendance.

The Ruparelias Back to Community in Charity Drive
As part of the unveiling ceremony, the Ruparelia family, in collaboration with The Living Group, commissioned a community borehole in the Naguru neighbourhood, offering a reliable and sustainable water source to dozens of local households that have long struggled with water access.
The borehole, strategically installed near The Vista Naguru premises, was described by residents as a “timely blessing,” especially for families living in the lower areas of Naguru who face frequent water shortages.

Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia emphasized that development should go hand in hand with community impact. “This is more than just real estate, it’s about being a good neighbour,” he said as Inara cut the ribbon at the commissioning of the Naguru community water facility.
Following the borehole launch, the Ruparelias led a charity outreach, distributing foodstuffs, scholastic materials, homeware, and essentials to underprivileged families in the vicinity. Children received exercise books, pens, and backpacks, while mothers were handed kitchen items and basic hygiene supplies.
“It’s a small gesture, but it reflects Rajiv’s spirit,” said Jyotsna Ruparelia. “He believed in building with the people, not just for them.”

The Vista Naguru Legacy
Perched on 0.23 acres with a sweeping view of Kampala’s skyline, The Vista Naguru redefines luxury living in the capital. The development features 29 upscale apartments across 12 floors, meticulously designed with open-plan living areas, private balconies, and fully fitted modern kitchens.
Each unit is provisioned for air-conditioning, WiFi, cable TV, and security features, including a lightning arrestor system and intercom access. “The apartments reflect Rajiv’s attention to design, function, and future-forward living,” said an official from The Living Group who attended the official unveiling on Friday.
Residents at The Vista Naguru will enjoy:
- Two floors of secure, covered car parking
- A communal terrace and swimming pool
- State-of-the-art interior fixtures and fittings
- Easy access to schools, hospitals, supermarkets, and major roads
- Breathtaking views over Naguru and Kololo

The posh apartments stand not only as a real estate landmark but as a personal monument to Rajiv’s life and the wealthy Ruparelia Group’s contribution to Uganda’s property sector. The unveiling comes at a time when Kampala’s skyline continues to evolve, with developers pushing the boundaries of vertical living.
The apartments are now open for viewing and acquisition, with Living Group officials describing demand as “very high,” particularly among diaspora buyers, executives, and upscale investors looking for elegant, secure, and centrally located residences.
The Living Group boasts of several posh apartments around the city suburbs, including Bukoto Living, 48 Apartments, and several other upcoming projects.
