Namisindwa, Uganda: The NRM LCV flagbearer for Namisindwa District, Hon. Emma Bwayo, has called for political unity and renewed focus on service delivery, urging voters to bury past differences and rally behind shared development goals.
Bwayo, who is also the incumbent District Male Youth Councilor, made the appeal while addressing residents during a fundraising event at St. Denis Catholic Church in Lwakhakha, where he emphasized reconciliation and cooperation among local leaders and constituents.
“I am grateful for the love and support you have shown me. I urge you to continue trusting me, and I call upon my fellow competitors to put aside our differences and work together for the progress of Namisindwa District,” said Hon. Bwayo.
The function, which doubled as a community fundraiser and birthday celebration for NRM Woman MP flagbearer Khalayi Peace, attracted a cross-section of political figures including Amos Masibo, an aspirant for Bubulo East MP, and Jackson Wakweika, the incumbent LCV Chairperson.
Khalayi, who marked her 28th birthday at the event, used the opportunity to reaffirm her parliamentary ambitions and her readiness to serve with diligence and integrity. “I thank God for the gift of life and ask the people of Namisindwa to entrust me with their mandate. I am ready to serve,” she said.
Rev. Fr. Atanas Kikoba, the Parish Priest of Lwakhakha, implored leaders to uphold honesty, spiritual discipline, and fidelity to their campaign promises. He offered prayers for the politicians and blessed their aspirations.
The gathering reflected a broader shift within the district’s NRM leadership towards reconciliation and collective progress ahead of the 2026 general elections.
