Toronto, Canada:- His Excellency Allan Kajik, husband to Uganda’s Minister of State for Finance (Investment) Hon Evelyn Anite, has been honoured with the Positive Impact Award 2023 by the Sankofa Royale of Canadian & African Women Aid Program in recognition of his transformative community work in Canada and Africa.
The award celebrates leaders whose initiatives inspire meaningful and lasting change, with Kajik praised for his visionary efforts in bridging cultures, empowering women, and supporting new Canadians as they integrate into society.
“Ambassador Kajik has been a true champion for unity and empowerment,” a Sankofa Royale representative noted. “His work has uplifted communities in Africa while making a tangible difference in the lives of many new Canadians.”
Kajik’s programmes have provided educational opportunities, essential resources, and cultural exchange platforms aimed at fostering belonging and easing resettlement challenges for immigrants. His work, the organisers said, has strengthened social and cultural ties between Canada and Africa.
Accepting the award, Kajik expressed deep gratitude: “This recognition is for every person who has worked with us to build stronger, more inclusive communities. Our mission to support people, especially women and families, remains as strong as ever.”
The Toronto ceremony spotlighted his collaborative approach and ability to unite diverse groups toward shared goals, reinforcing his role as an influential bridge-builder across continents.
