Kampala, Uganda: Kabira Country Club in Bukoto has unveiled a heated children’s swimming pool and a colourful play castle, marking a major step in its ongoing upgrade to five-star status.
The new family-friendly facilities aim to create a safe, engaging space for children while enhancing Kabira’s reputation as a top leisure destination in Kampala.
The additions complement existing amenities, including a half Olympic-size pool, gym, tennis and squash courts, basketball courts, a football pitch, luxury accommodations, fine dining, wellness amenities, and modern conference facilities.

Kabira Country Club, part of the Speke Group of Hotels under the Ruparelia Group, has previously been recognised internationally, winning the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award in 2024 and 2025.
In November 2023, the Uganda Tourism Board officially classified it as a four-star facility. The ongoing expansion is expected to elevate Kabira to full five-star status, positioning it as a premier destination for both leisure and business travellers.
Families are invited to experience the heated kids’ pool, which features modern water elements designed for year-round use. Club management says the facility provides a warm and secure environment where children can play and explore.
“By introducing these facilities, we are not only enhancing family experiences but also reinforcing Kabira Country Club’s commitment to excellence and luxury,” a club spokesperson said.
