Agago, Uganda: The Territorial Police of Aswa East Region has arrested and detained five men on suspicion of arson and Aggravated robbery that happened in Wol Sub-county, Agago district on August 18, 2025 via case reference number (GEF Agago CPS).
Inspector Joe Oloya, the Aswa East Police Spokesperson (PRO), confirmed the apprehension of the quadruple suspected criminals who are being accused of participating in setting ablaze eight huts and stealing at least 16 livestock on Monday night (August 18, 2025) at the above-mentioned place.
According to Insp. Oloya, it is alleged that on Monday, August 18, 2025, at around 13:00 hours, the police in Agago district received a phone call from the GISU of Wol Sub-county informing them of the arson incident.

“In retaliation, the suspects burnt several eight huts and also robbed some (unspecified number) of cattle, after disagreeing,” said Insp.Oloya.
