Kampala, Uganda: The FUFA Club Licensing Committee has confirmed 14 clubs for participation in the 2025/26 FUFA Big League season, following the August 21 licensing deadline.
The confirmed clubs are Ntugasaze FC, Blacks Power FC, Kataka FC, Kiyinda Boys FC, Kigezi Homeboyz FC, Onduparaka FC, Wakiso Giants FC, Soltilo Bright Stars FC, Mbale Heroes FC, CATDA FC, Iganga United FC, Young Elephants Academy FC, Nebbi Central FC, and Paidha Black Angels SC.
Two clubs, Bunyaruguru United FC and Kaaro Karungi FC, failed to submit mandatory licensing documents and were not granted licenses, though they retain the right to appeal before August 27, 2025.
According to FUFA, stadium inspections were also conducted, with several venues failing to meet the minimum requirements.
Grounds not approved include: Ebenezer University Play Ground (Blacks Power FC), Bugolobi Coffee Grounds (CATDA FC), Iganga Ssaza Grounds (Iganga United FC), Luo Grounds (Nebbi Central FC), Kyamate Play Ground (Kaaro Karungi FC), Green Light Stadium (Onduparaka FC), Bar Okoro Stadium (Paidha Black Angels SC), and Kyambura Play Ground (Bunyaruguru United FC).
FUFA further announced that a second inspection exercise will be carried out between August 24–30, 2025, before final decisions are communicated.
