“Based on Rev 22:18–19, Examine Yourself: Have You Kept the Word According to the Bible?” First of Its Kind Overseas with Significant Pastor Participation… Expanding Scripture-Centered Fellowship
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania: Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, Peter Tribe, Tanzania Church, on Sunday conducted its first-ever overseas Revelation Bible exam with local Protestant pastors and Shincheonji members across major cities including Dar es Salaam.
The exam, held under the theme “Based on Revelation 22:18–19, Examine Yourself: Have You Kept the Word According to the Bible?”, attracted 138 participants—comprising 98 Protestant pastors and 40 Shincheonji members. Organizers said the initiative aimed at encouraging believers to test whether they have truly kept the words of Revelation, which Scripture describes as essential for entering heaven.
Unlike last year’s exam in Korea—where only one traditional pastor participated—this was the first large-scale overseas Bible test drawing significant clergy engagement.
According to results, Shincheonji members scored an average of 95 points, while Protestant pastors averaged 7 points. Church leaders, however, emphasized that the exercise was not about rankings but about personal reflection, spiritual growth, and drawing nearer to God through Scripture.

One participating pastor admitted the experience was eye-opening: “Seeing Shincheonji members confidently write their answers today made me reflect on my faith and calling as a pastor. I will study Revelation through the Shincheonji Zion Christian Mission Center, lead my congregation on God’s path, and teach them correctly so they can enter heaven.”
Shincheonji Chairman Lee Man-hee has consistently stressed the importance of Revelation 22:18–19, cautioning against adding to or subtracting from the text. He has also argued that the true standard of orthodoxy versus heresy is not human doctrine but the Bible itself.
A church representative in Tanzania added that the exam was more than a test of knowledge: “It is a way to confirm whether one’s faith is truly built on the Word of the Bible. We are encouraged that more pastors are now joining both in Korea and internationally, and we hope this will strengthen Scripture-centered fellowship across churches.”

Since its establishment in 2018, Shincheonji Tanzania Church has grown steadily, with over 2,400 members as of August 2025, and continues to expand its outreach through collaborative Bible-based engagements with local pastors.
