Makindye, Uganda: The Makindye Magistrate’s Court has charged and remanded the purported National Executive Secretary of the so-called Uganda Boys Scouts Association, Muledhu David, over the illegal occupation of the Kabaka’s Kaazi camping land in Makindye Municipality.
Muledhu was arraigned on multiple charges, including Unlawful Occupation of Land Belonging to Another, Malicious Damage to Property, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, Forcible Detainer, and Forcible Entry.
He now joins seven other co-accused individuals — Buragahare Mujuni Patrick, Butumbwire Stephen, Mugisha John, Musoke Stephen Brian, Mununuzi Alex, Orwanga Michael Richard, and Anyango Francis — who were earlier charged in connection with the violent takeover of the National Camping and Scouts Centre at Kaazi–Busaabala, Masajja Division, Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality on June 24, 2025.
The group is alleged to have disrupted the operations of the Uganda Scouts Association, caused extensive damage to property, and unlawfully occupied land belonging to the Kabaka of Buganda.
Muledhu’s arrest was carried out by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit in collaboration with the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).
The Magistrate ordered that Muledhu be remanded until September 1, 2025, when the case will come up again for mention.
