Double joy for Busoga as Kyabazinga, Inhebantu welcome twins Ethan and Arnold Nadiope

Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV and Inhebantu Jovia Mutesi welcomed twin princes, William Ethan and Arnold Eli, on August 27, 2025.

Jinja, Uganda: The Kingdom of Busoga is filled with double joy after the Kyabazinga His Majesty William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope IV and Her Royal Highness, Inhebantu Jovia Mutesi safely gave birth to twin princes, marking a historic new chapter in the royal family.

The Kyabazinga, in an official statement released Monday afternoon, announced that the Inhebantu safely delivered twin sons, Prince William Ethan Nadiope and Prince Arnold Eli Nadiope, on August 27, 2025, with both the newborns and their mother in excellent health.

“With profound joy and heartfelt gratitude, I am delighted to formally announce the birth of our twin sons. Both newborns, along with their remarkable mother, are in high spirits and excellent health,” the Kyabazinga said, describing the moment as a “deeply cherished milestone” for the royal household.

The Inhebantu, Queen Jovia Mutesi, became the Busoga Queen Consort in November 2023 after her royal wedding to Kyabazinga Gabula IV in a colourful ceremony at Christ’s Cathedral Bugembe, Jinja.

Their union was celebrated not only as a personal milestone but also as a cultural and unifying moment for the kingdom, as thousands gathered to witness the enthronement of the first Inhebantu in nearly six decades.

The arrival of the princes is now seen as a continuation of that chapter, cementing the royal family’s place at the heart of Busoga’s cultural identity.

The Kyabazinga further expressed gratitude to the people of Busoga and beyond for their prayers and goodwill. He assured that the royal family looks forward to introducing the princes to the kingdom in due course.

The Katukiiro of Busoga, Dr. Joseph Muvawala Nsekere, congratulated the royal couple, saying, “I am delighted to congratulate HRH @KingNadiopeIV and the Inhebantu upon the birth of twin sons. We thank Almighty God for His blessings.”
