Kampala, Uganda: First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs, Rt Hon Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, has emphasized mentorship and youth engagement during two separate meetings held at her office this week.
In the first engagement, Kadaga hosted the leadership of Uganda’s medical interns ahead of their 2025 annual gathering. Discussions focused on professional development, mentorship, and nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
The session underscores the government’s commitment to addressing challenges in Uganda’s healthcare sector and empowering emerging medical practitioners.
In a second meeting, Kadaga engaged with youth leaders Ms. Mungoma and Mr. Kayayera to discuss youth empowerment, cultural representation, and the role of pageantries in promoting Uganda’s creative industries and tourism.
Kadaga highlighted the economic potential of these sectors and the importance of supporting young people contributing to them.
“Kingdom House continues to be a space where ideas meet action, and where Uganda’s future is shaped through dialogue and inclusion,” Kadaga said, stressing her ministry’s open-door approach and commitment to fostering national development through stakeholder engagement.
