Namisindwa, Uganda: Leaders of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) in Namisindwa District have launched a house-to-house vote mobilization campaign for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and all party flagbearers ahead of the 2026 general elections.

The decision was reached during a Wednesday meeting at the district headquarters attended by the NRM District Executive Committee (DEC), sub-county chairpersons, parliamentary candidates, and LCV flagbearers.

NRM District Chairperson Aramazan Wabuko announced that the door-to-door campaign will begin next month. He warned members against endorsing opposition or independent candidates, saying such actions weaken the strength of NRM flagbearers.

“We shall move village to village in search of votes. Our task is to consolidate President Museveni’s support base and ensure all our candidates win,” Wabuko emphasized.

Bubulo East MP Musila John, who also serves as the NRM District Publicity Secretary, called on leaders to avoid intrigue and work collectively. He stressed that Namisindwa has historically made significant contributions to the country and urged leaders to defend those gains by strengthening support for Museveni.

LCV flag bearer Emma Bwayo rallied leaders to remain united and committed, highlighting the importance of victory to secure access to government services for the community.

“Our focus should be on delivering victory for the president and all flagbearers. That’s how we guarantee continued service delivery and strong engagement with our people,” Bwayo noted.
