Billionaire Sudhir jets to UK to Spotlight African Investment at 15th UK–Africa Summit

Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia will deliver a keynote address at the 15th UK–Africa Business Summit in London, a key platform for promoting investment and economic growth in Africa.

London, UK: Ugandan billionaire businessman and philanthropist Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia will headline the 15th UK–Africa Business Summit this Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Royal Horseguards Hotel & One Whitehall Place in London.

Ruparelia, Chairman of the Ruparelia Group, is set to deliver a keynote speech focused on promoting African-led investment, expanding enterprises through affordable financing, boosting ethical agribusiness, and developing resilient urban infrastructure. His participation marks a second consecutive year at the summit, underscoring his growing influence as a leading voice in Africa’s private sector.

Organised by The Promota Africa, the summit is a premier platform connecting African policymakers, entrepreneurs, and UK investors.

This year’s 15th edition brings together top government officials, including Uganda’s Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa, Finance Minister Matia Kasaija, Treasury Secretary Dr. Ramathan Ggoobi, and Energy Minister Ruth Nankabirwa, alongside senior military officials such as Gen. David Muhoozi and Lt. Gen. Joseph Musanyufu.

The summit will feature focused sessions showcasing bankable projects in energy, ICT, agriculture, and financial services, creating opportunities for investors to engage directly with credible ventures.

“The focus this year is on execution—matching ideas with capital and building lasting partnerships that can transform economies,” The Promota Africa organisers said, highlighting the summit’s aim to turn investment ideas into tangible deals and promote diaspora-led growth initiatives.

Corporate partners, including Ruparelia Group, EW Properties, and the World Book of Records – London, are also lending support.

Ruparelia’s presence is expected to not only elevate Uganda’s profile on the international stage but also reinforce his commitment to catalysing private sector-led growth across the continent.
