From Rosemary Salmon to Elle Muhoza – Every Miss Uganda winner since 1967

Elle Trivia Muhoza, 22, crowned Miss Uganda 2025/26 at the grand finale, continuing a legacy that dates back to 1967.

Kampala, Uganda: The Miss Uganda beauty pageant for the year 2025/26 concluded over the weekend with the ultimate crowning of 22-year-old Elle Trivia Muhoza as Uganda’s beauty queen, taking over from Natasha Nyonyozi, who held the crown in 2024/25.

The crowning moment held at Sheraton Hotel Kampala saw Agatha Drakes Keine, who also earned the Miss Multimedia and Miss Photogenic titles, come out as 1st runner-up, while Faith Kirabo, who took second runner-up, won the Miss Beach Beauty award.

Other honorees included Gillians Akot (Miss Sports and Congeniality), Aminah Nalubega (Miss Popularity), Bathsheba Gift Namugga (Miss Personality), and Rebecca Akampulira (Miss Talent).

Muhoza’s win was marked by elegance and conviction, positioning her as a strong ambassador for Uganda ahead of the 73rd Miss World Festival.

The pageant, which began in 1967, has long been the country’s premier beauty platform, producing queens who have represented Uganda on the international stage, most notably at Miss World.

Despite this long history, only one Miss Uganda (Quiin Abenakyo in 20218) has reached the Miss World finals, a feat that continues to inspire contestants to aim higher.
